Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are effective June 17, 2026. They are an agreement between you and Recursive Visions, LLC, operating the Kinbite service. By creating an account, accessing Kinbite, accepting an invitation, using a shared link, or buying a subscription or gift, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Kinbite. Questions can be sent to support@kinbite.com.

Kinbite helps people preserve, organize, cook from, and share family recipes. Features may include recipe creation, voice recordings, transcripts, photos, original recipe card scans, shared cookbooks, comments, feed posts, recipe share links, meal plans, grocery lists, cook timelines, exports, and subscriptions.

We may change, add, remove, limit, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. Some features are free, some are paid, and some may depend on third-party services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kinbite. If you use Kinbite on behalf of an organization or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

You are responsible for your account, sign-in credentials, activity under your account, and the people you invite or share links with. Notify us promptly at support@kinbite.com if you believe your account or a share link has been compromised.

You keep ownership of the recipes, stories, photos, scans, voice recordings, comments, feed posts, and other content you submit to Kinbite. You grant Kinbite a limited license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, format, transcribe, analyze, and otherwise use your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service, including AI-assisted features you choose to use.

You are responsible for the content you upload or share. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, record, preserve, share, and process the content, including any permission required from people whose voices, names, likenesses, handwriting, recipes, stories, memorial details, or personal information appear in the content.

Do not upload content that violates law, infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, exposes confidential information without permission, or could harm others.

Kinbite includes private and shared spaces. Personal recipes are private to your account unless you add them to a shared cookbook or create a recipe share link. Shared cookbooks are visible to cookbook members according to their roles. Invite links and recipe share links should be treated as sensitive access links.

Recipe owners may create share links that show a limited preview and may allow signed-in recipients to view a recipe-only page. Depending on the owner's choices, a shared recipe page may include original scans or voice recordings. Recipients may request access when a link requires approval.

You are responsible for deciding who to invite, which role to grant, whether to include sensitive scans or recordings, and whether to revoke links. Kinbite cannot control screenshots, downloads, exports, copies, or further sharing by people who have access.

Kinbite may use third-party AI and transcription services, including AssemblyAI and the paid Google Gemini API, to process content when you choose features such as full voice-to-recipe import, step dictation, saved recipe voice transcription, scanned recipe extraction, URL import, or ingredient normalization.

AI and transcription results can be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe if followed without review. You are responsible for reviewing generated recipes, ingredients, quantities, instructions, transcripts, timing, dietary tags, allergens, and grocery data before relying on them.

URL import is provided to help you preserve recipes you have the right to use. Do not use Kinbite to bypass paywalls, login requirements, copyright restrictions, robots restrictions, or other access controls.

Kinbite is not a food safety, medical, nutrition, allergy, or professional cooking advisor. Recipes may contain allergens, unsafe instructions, incorrect times or temperatures, or inaccurate AI-generated details. You are responsible for safe food handling, checking ingredients, cooking food thoroughly, and deciding whether a recipe is appropriate for you or your family.

Paid plans, prices, limits, storage allowances, and feature availability are shown in the product or checkout flow. Billing is processed by Stripe. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel through the Stripe billing portal or another method we provide.

Voice recipe import allowances apply to full voice-to-recipe creation. Saved recipe voice memos, step narration clips, and ordinary step dictation are not charged as voice recipe imports, though storage, duration, security, and abuse-prevention limits may still apply.

If you cancel or downgrade, you may retain access to existing content, but Kinbite may limit new creation, uploads, or paid features if your account exceeds the limits of your current plan. Payment failures may cause a plan to become past due, downgraded, limited, or cancelled.

Gift subscriptions require a recipient email address and are subject to the selected plan, billing interval, and Stripe checkout terms. Except where required by law or expressly stated by us, fees are non-refundable.

You agree not to misuse Kinbite.

• Do not break the law, violate privacy rights, infringe intellectual property, or upload content without required permission.
• Do not harass, threaten, exploit, or harm others.
• Do not upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, probe systems, bypass security, scrape at scale, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or interfere with service operations.
• Do not spam invitations, abuse shared links, impersonate others, misrepresent ownership, or use Kinbite to collect sensitive information from people without consent.
• Do not use Kinbite to generate, store, or share content that is unlawful, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with a family recipe preservation service.

If you believe content on Kinbite infringes your copyright or other rights, contact support@kinbite.com with enough detail for us to investigate, including the content location, your contact information, a description of the claimed rights, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.

We may remove or restrict content, accounts, cookbooks, or links that we believe violate these Terms or applicable law.

Kinbite relies on third-party services such as Clerk, Convex, Cloudflare, AssemblyAI, Google Gemini API, Stripe, Resend, PostHog, Sentry, and Google Fonts. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

You may stop using Kinbite at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, revoke links, or limit features if we believe you violated these Terms, create risk for Kinbite or others, fail to pay fees, or if required by law.

Some provisions continue after termination, including content permissions needed to wind down or preserve records, payment obligations, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity, dispute terms, and provisions that by their nature should survive.

Kinbite is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and uninterrupted operation.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Recursive Visions, LLC and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, content loss, or unauthorized access. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Kinbite will not exceed the amount you paid to Kinbite in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 dollars, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold Recursive Visions, LLC harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of Kinbite, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States and, unless a different rule is required by law, the laws of the state where Recursive Visions, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@kinbite.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

We may update these Terms as Kinbite changes. When changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use of Kinbite after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
